I think I've admitted before that I became aware of Dylan largely from other artists' covers of his works. The Kingston Trio, PP&M, Jimi, Baez (although in the latter's case, I was already aware of Bob, and their relationship, but found her treatments of his songs more listenable).

I don't know why Dylan became so popular. His tunes are rhythmic, but his voice is unpleasant. He's Jewish, right? So maybe the bankers and Hollyweird supported him. I prefer The Kingston Trio, heck I like The Cowsills so what do I know? Let's go to Indian Lake, it's the scene we should make...
