You're not supposed to say his name without placing your hat over your heart and bowing your head. Always brought Blazing Saddles to a reverent standstill.
An interesting guy- not least of which he was a FO for an artillery unit in France during The Great War.

A great friend, but, clearly, a dork...
A man in his forties, with the spirit, no, make that maturity of a twelve year old...
Nonetheless, I would be seriously remiss not to point out that the same dork brought me magazines to read (Outdoor Life, not dirty magazines - he kept those for himself) when I was in the hospital last March.
So, when I say dork, I guess you could say I mean it in the best way possible.
Don't go soft on me now! To tell the truth I brought you those mags for the pictures, I didn't know you could read!!
