While a young lad in our nations service in West Germany my family asked what I wanted for Christmas- "Send me a greatest hits album of Merle." came my reply.
I didn't notice until 10+ years later the personalized messages from everyone on the paper dust jacket inside. Three of those people are dead now- including my mom.
Merle would be proud. He's better than any of those no-talent guys from the Eagles.
Chup, back in the 80's a buddy of mine asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I said just get me some Merle Haggard. He literally bought everything Merle had recorded that he could find. Something like 20 cassettes! That's a good friend. He's been in the military for twenty years now and I thank both of you for your service.
