Yes, no, I don't know; however, PRETTY SURE Peter never jammed with FM.
I was just having fun with the images. I'm not aware of any particular synergy between Chicago/Cetera and FM.
OtoH, there's a fair amount of mixed bills with Chicago and Doobies/EWF/Beach Boys, and some others.
I have opined as to my dislike for David Foster for fomenting discord in the band. A related theory of mine is that Chicago is - indirectly, at minimum - responsible for some of the greatest records of the '70s. Apparently, their early producer James William Guercio - who was a great collaborator and producer - was sucking HALF of the band's proceeds, the actual 7 or 8 band members split the rest.
BUT, in 1972 Guercio built Caribou Ranch Studios, where many top artists recorded their best material. One might argue that that was substantially enabled by Chicago's success.
