Happy Birthday, Stephanie!

Wishing a happy 64th to Stevie Nicks, without whom Fleetwood Mac would have been relegated as a footnote to John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.

This is from the early days, with the old backdrop - same as used when I first saw FM at TCCC in early '77 (Rumours tour, Kenny Loggins opening).

64 doesn't look now like it did when I was a kid. She looks terrific. I love FM but even so, I still think she has a munchkin-like quality to her voice.

"Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

I still think she has a munchkin-like quality to her voice.

Queen - [Chuckle] - Yeah, actually, since the early '80s, her voice has been kinda shot.
Last time I saw FM, at Fair Park, the band's music director had used backup singers to good effect to fill in for SLN's vocal limitations.

It's a shame Christine called it quits.

I read somewhere back when they first hit the national scene, I think it was a TV guide article, that she was advised by doctors to be very protective of her voice.

I'm jealous you got to see them live. Living in podunk Kansas was not conducive to live music beyond local bands.
